A Calm, Colour-Led Family Home | Interior Photography for NB Interiors in Essex
This interior photography shoot was created for Natasha at NB Interiors, capturing her client’s family home in Essex through calm, considered imagery.
The focus was on flow, colour, and how each space connects, from the entryway through to the kitchen and living areas. Alongside wider compositions, the shoot included detailed styling shots and candid moments of Natasha at work.
A Thoughtfully Designed Family Home
Designed by NB Interiors UK, this home balances warmth, personal expression, and thoughtful creativity. Natasha’s design philosophy centres around understanding how her clients live and what matters most to them, using colour, texture, and carefully chosen pieces to create spaces that feel uplifting, welcoming, and entirely personal.
The entryway leads naturally into a dining space that sets the tone for the rest of the home. Soft colours, tactile materials, and playful details create a space that feels relaxed while still being refined. Located in Essex, the home was photographed to reflect how it feels to move through it, lived-in, connected, and full of character.

Photographing the Flow Between Spaces
One of the key elements of this interior photography shoot was capturing the relationship between rooms. From the dining space, the home opens into a generous kitchen and living area designed for everyday family life and time spent together.
I photographed the living room from multiple angles, some drawing the eye toward the kitchen, others focusing solely on the seating area to give a full sense of scale, layout, and atmosphere.
This approach allows the design to be understood not just as individual rooms, but as a cohesive, flowing home.

Interior Photography Approach
When photographing interiors, my approach is calm and editorial. I work primarily with natural light, allowing spaces to be shown as they are experienced rather than overly staged. Each image is carefully composed, but nothing feels forced or overly styled.
Alongside wider shots, I always include details of textures, colour combinations, and styling elements which help tie the full gallery together. These quieter images add depth and allow the design to be understood on a more tactile level, reflecting the intention behind the space as well as its visual impact.
Natural, design-led, and thoughtfully composed.

Spaces Designed for Real Family Life
Beyond the main living areas, the home includes thoughtful additions such as a dedicated workspace for the clients’ children. Photographing these functional spaces helps tell the full story of how the home works day to day, not just how it looks.
Including these areas is especially valuable for interior designers, showing how considered design supports real family living while maintaining a strong visual identity throughout the home.

Behind the Scenes with NB Interiors
As part of the shoot, I also captured a small number of candid images of Natasha working within the space. These moments are incredibly useful for designers, offering natural, professional imagery that can be used across websites, social media, and editorial features.
Including people within interior photography helps humanise the work and adds context to the finished design, highlighting not just the end result but the thoughtful process behind it.

Kind words from Natasha
"I've worked with Kezia for a while now and she has photographed several projects for me over the past few years.
She is an excellent photographer but also a wonderful and friendly person - which makes our shoots so lovely and fun!
I cannot recommend her and her services enough, such a warm, friendly and professional person and her images are just stunning!"
Interior Photography for Designers & Creatives
This interior photography project for NB Interiors UK reflects a family home in Essex, designed with care and photographed with intention. The final gallery balances wide compositions, functional layouts, and detailed styling to support how designers present their work online, in print, and across social platforms.
As you can tell from the before photos provided by Natasha that she has such an incredible vision and my goal is to help her showcase this.
If you’re an interior designer, architect, or stylist looking for natural, editorial interior photography in Essex and beyond, I’d love to hear about your project.
